Description

The measure offers adults with disabilities in Burgenland, whose disability-related eligibility for other benefits under §§ 14 and 21 of the Burgenland Equal Opportunities Act is temporarily not met, an opportunity for employment and care in day-care facilities. The goal is to strengthen social participation and independence by providing a suitable structure for employment and professional care. Participants receive a monthly allowance amounting to 11% of the standard supplementary allowance rate for single persons, which is paid pro rata per calendar month depending on attendance. The start of the benefit is based on the first or last day of the stay in the facility; longer absences of more than four weeks lead to a temporary suspension of payment.

The funding is aimed at adults with a recognized disability under the Burgenland Equal Opportunities Act, who can prove their main residence and actual stay in Burgenland and are Austrian citizens, asylum beneficiaries, or have been permanently settled for at least five years. A current nursing or psychological expert opinion by an official expert is required. Applications can be submitted indefinitely from 01.10.2024 at the district administrative authorities or magistrates. Only expenses for the allowance are funded. For the application, among other documents, the completed application form, income proofs for the last six months, the current nursing allowance decision, a clinical-psychological report or specialist medical certificate, maintenance agreement, divorce settlement, as well as an expert opinion from the Social Ministry Service and proof of any representation must be submitted. This support contributes to providing people with disabilities a reliable employment perspective in day-care facilities and sustainably improving their quality of life.
