Description

Support and Development of Nature Conservation, Landscape Management, and Regional Culture is aimed at agricultural enterprises and landowners in Baden-Württemberg and supports the sustainable management of ecologically valuable areas. As a continuously available grant program, it funds measures for hedge and orchard maintenance, species protection initiatives, as well as professional planning services and consultations. Financial resources are provided to preserve regional culture and biodiversity and to secure landscape-defining structures in the long term. The assessment is carried out by the lower agricultural authorities of the district offices, where applications can be submitted at any time.

A prerequisite for funding is proof of an agricultural enterprise or land ownership in Baden-Württemberg, as well as compliance with the requirements of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the Landscape Management Directive 2015. Decisive for approval are the ecological benefits of the measures, their cost-effectiveness, and their regional significance for regional culture. For the application, in addition to the official form, a detailed maintenance and action plan as well as an excerpt from the cadastral map are required. The responsible lower agricultural authorities conduct the technical review and approval within the framework of agricultural funding. Interested stakeholders benefit from transparent funding and actively contribute to the preservation of species-rich cultural landscapes.
