Funding/Support of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen Foundation

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen Foundation continuously offers funding opportunities in the form of sponsorships for non-profit organizations, foundations, and private donors based in North Rhine-Westphalia. The focus is on the sustainable development of the collections at the K20 and K21 locations. The goal is to realize innovative exhibitions, pioneering research projects, as well as diverse educational and mediation formats. Furthermore, the funding supports the expansion of the collection and the implementation of restoration projects to preserve cultural heritage and make it accessible to a broad, international audience.

Expressions of interest are invited from foundations, non-profit organizations, and private individuals who wish to contribute ideologically and/or financially to strengthening the art collection. A prerequisite for funding is an endowment or donation with a clear funding purpose in the areas of exhibitions, collection, restoration, research, or education. Eligible expenses include research projects, exhibitions, educational and mediation formats, as well as collection expansions and restorations. Applications can be submitted at any time. For the application, a project description or statement of purpose as well as proof of non-profit organizational structures are required. The specific processing is carried out in cooperation with the officer responsible for third-party funds, with flexible support options ranging from one-time grants to long-term commitments.
