Description

The funding of Alpine Associations – alpine infrastructure supports alpine clubs and associations in Carinthia in the realization of sustainable infrastructure projects in high alpine areas. The focus is, among other things, on the expansion and modernization of mountain huts, the nature-friendly development of hiking trails, as well as measures to increase safety and the quality of stay in alpine protected areas. The funding is provided as a direct grant by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 6 – Education and Sport, and can be applied for continuously. The basis is a discretionary decision, which requires, in addition to the submitted funding application, a binding funding commitment. Alpine clubs, sports associations, and municipalities in Carinthia can thus submit their project outlines flexibly and benefit from a straightforward process.

Interested applicants must submit a detailed statement of the expected income and expenses along with proof of the formal funding commitment. The application can be submitted by Austrian sports clubs, sports associations, or municipalities. The goal is to facilitate access to high-quality alpine infrastructures and to promote location- and nature-friendly solutions. The contact person for technical inquiries is Department 6 – Education and Sport of the State of Carinthia. The continuous submission option enables project managers to promptly adjust their plans to actual needs and to implement investments in alpine infrastructure quickly. Interested project sponsors thereby gain valuable support for sustainable tourism and alpine nature conservation.
