Description
In Lower Saxony, the "Training Alliances" program promotes dual training projects in partnership with small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, and educational providers. Funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), it supports alliance models in which legal entities under public law as well as registered private law partnerships in the commercial register jointly offer recognized training occupations according to BBiG, HwO, SeeArbG, or PflBG. Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant covering up to 40% of eligible expenses in more developed regions (MDR) and up to 60% in transition regions (TR). The project duration can be up to 42 months, and applications are submitted continuously via the NBank customer portal prior to project commencement.
Eligible costs include personnel expenses for educational and advisory staff, remuneration for trainees and trainers, as well as a flat rate for residual costs. Applicants must present the alliance model, the planned training positions and occupations, and proof of total financing in a project description, and meet certain quality criteria. The business location and place of implementation must be within the program area. Projects already supported by other ESF+ programs, the federal program "Securing Training Places," or other state or federal funds, as well as projects from federal or state administration offices, are not eligible for funding. The program targets companies, public and private educational providers who wish to contribute to strengthening regional workforce development through innovative model approaches.
