Description
In Lower Saxony, the program promotes the consolidation of training activities through grants for alliances consisting of at least three training companies, educational institutions, or public sponsors. The goal is to strengthen dual vocational training in the state by developing joint training concepts, coordinating training positions, and utilizing resources efficiently. The funding covers personnel and coordination costs, material expenses, as well as external consulting services; investment goods and real estate costs are excluded. Eligible applicants include small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit organizations, as well as public and private educational providers, provided that all partners are located in Lower Saxony and a comprehensive, interdisciplinary training concept is submitted. Applications can be submitted continuously as long as funds from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education’s budget are available.
The selection criteria include the quality and innovative strength of the alliance structure as well as the regional demand for skilled workers. Particular emphasis is placed on the structure of the training concept, the innovation content of the collaboration, and proof of an existing training demand in the catchment area. For the application, a completed application form, a detailed project description, a financing plan, and proof of all participating companies are required. The Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank) supports the review and processing of the grants on behalf of the state and assists applicants with procedural advice. The funding creates a sustainable network that provides broader support for trainees and enhances the quality and attractiveness of vocational training pathways in Lower Saxony in the long term.
