Description

The Free State of Bavaria promotes construction measures at daycare facilities within the framework of the municipal financial equalization and thereby supports the expansion and modernization of nurseries, kindergartens, after-school care centers, and mixed-age facilities. Allocations according to Art. 10 BayFAG are granted as project-related subsidies in the form of co-financing. The funding rates range between 0% and 80% of eligible expenses, depending on the financial capacity of the municipality. For an average municipal financial situation, a reference value of 50% can be assumed. Measures to improve accessibility and repairs following elemental damage are also eligible for funding with a minimum volume of €25,000. There are no fixed deadlines; applications can be submitted at any time to the responsible district government.

Eligible applicants are municipalities, districts, administrative communities, school associations, and municipal special-purpose associations as sponsors of daycare facilities. A professionally reviewed planning status before the start of construction, secured overall financing, and a municipal own contribution of at least 10% are prerequisites. Eligible expenses must exceed €100,000 (or ≥ €25,000 for accessibility or damage-related measures), and the funded building must be used for at least 25 years. The application must include the allocation request, verifiable planning documents, as well as evidence of the financial circumstances of all involved municipalities and any third-party allocations. Upon project completion, proof of appropriate use of funds is required.
