Description
The ongoing funding initiative in Vorarlberg supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in providing comprehensive hospice services. The focus is on professionally qualified counseling and support for people with life-threatening illnesses as well as professional grief counseling in the home environment and nursing homes. Designed as a grant, the care of those affected and their relatives is strengthened through volunteer and certified professional staff combined with low-threshold educational offerings. Collaborations with physicians, nursing associations, mobile aid services, palliative care units, hospitals, nursing homes, cancer support organizations, and other social institutions deepen the local network structures.
Participating institutions must demonstrate that they possess both the professional qualifications for hospice support and offer relief and grief counseling services – including group formats. Submission requirements include, among others, a detailed business concept, balance sheet and accounting, an activity report, as well as a formal service agreement. The open-ended application option allows for flexible planning and is accessible to all interested parties without deadline restrictions. The goal is to ensure the quality of life of seriously ill people and their relatives until the end of life and to guarantee professional support in every phase.
