Support for facilities and measures for families as well as family associations

The grant program of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Equality of Saxony-Anhalt supports institutions statewide that provide parental counseling or implement family education and meeting offers. Eligible for funding are legally capable, non-profit recognized associations, institutions, federations, and legal entities based in Saxony-Anhalt that operate parental counseling, family education measures, family meetings, or family centers. Applications must be submitted to the State Administration Office, State Youth Welfare Office – by August 1 for family associations operating nationwide, by September 30 for educational offers, and by November 30 for meeting measures and family centers. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of parenting competence of parents and families through qualified, pedagogically sound measures.

Family education and meeting measures are funded with up to 45 euros per participant day (or 22 euros without overnight stay), and the operation of family centers with grants up to 31,100 euros. The funding amount may cover a maximum of 70 percent of eligible expenses. A condition is a statewide, sustainable fulfillment of tasks with proper management. Family education and meeting offers must be conducted or overseen by a pedagogical specialist with an academic degree. In family centers, at least 0.7 full-time equivalents by a pedagogical specialist with an academic degree must be continuously demonstrated. Additionally, regular professional exchange with other centers and a concept for quality assurance must be submitted. Special measure requirements must be observed.
