Funding objective
The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania grants funding with the assistance of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) for the purpose of promoting entrepreneurship with the goal of improving the climate for knowledge-based startups and, furthermore, strengthening the positive attitude towards self-employment and personal responsibility. The subject of the funding is projects aimed at further enhancing the significance and acceptance of self-employment in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and, in particular, encouraging innovative startups.

Description
The funding program supports knowledge-based start-ups in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and initiates consulting and qualification projects to strengthen entrepreneurial spirit. With funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), grants of up to 90 percent of eligible expenses are provided to improve the start-up climate and promote a positive attitude towards self-employment and personal responsibility. Eligible to apply are public institutions and educational establishments implementing projects of structural political significance for the federal state. Particular support is given to initiatives that, in cooperation with universities, research institutions, and technology centers, stimulate innovative start-ups, impart start-up knowledge, and offer regional competitions or networking activities related to business succession. Applications must be submitted before the start of the planned measure to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS).
This funding offer is aimed at students, university graduates, researchers, as well as individuals involved in business succession. A prerequisite is a location in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and a focus on the aforementioned target groups. For a successful application, the following documents must be submitted: Entrepreneurship application form, annex to the application for personnel cost flat rate, annex to the application project description, annex to the application financing plan, and annex to the application task description. The combination of consulting, qualification, and financial support creates a comprehensive offer that utilizes knowledge potential, stimulates interest in founding, and sustainably strengthens regional innovative capacity.
