Description
The Foundation for the Promotion of Outpatient Medical Care in the Free State of Thuringia enables financial support for outpatient clinical clerkship periods in contract medical practices or facilities in the general and specialist medical sectors. With a flat rate of €250 per month and a maximum of two periods, the measure supports medical students who wish to gain practical experience in the Free State of Thuringia. This offer specifically strengthens the medical junior staff in outpatient care, and local practices receive incentives to train future general practitioners and specialists.
A prerequisite for the grant is the application submission prior to the start of the clinical clerkship as well as proof of completion in a contract medical facility in Thuringia. Applications are made by submitting the completed application form (PDF) by postal mail or email – exclusively in PDF format. Retroactive consideration is excluded. A separate application is required for each clinical clerkship period, as well as when splitting between two practices for 14 days each. The continuously open deadlines allow flexible planning throughout the course of study, without fixed application periods. This funding optimally introduces prospective physicians to outpatient patient care and encourages practice in rural general medicine.
