Description

The Arnsberg District Government promotes the installation of photovoltaic systems on facades in North Rhine-Westphalia through a grant program. The objective of this measure is to strengthen renewable energy sources and reduce CO₂ emissions through integrated climate protection technology on building fronts. Municipalities, public institutions, educational providers, companies, associations, and private individuals can thus actively contribute to the energy transition and sustainably increase their energy efficiency. The funding supports both new installations and retrofitting solutions and provides an important impetus for climate-friendly design of the building stock. Currently, however, applications are suspended until the next funding periods are announced.

Interested applicants must demonstrate that the construction project is located in North Rhine-Westphalia and involves facade photovoltaic installations. Eligible applicants include, in addition to municipalities and districts, schools, continuing education institutions, and other educational providers, as well as private individuals, companies, associations, and clubs. The funding is provided under the funding guideline «progres.nrw – Climate Protection Technology» and can be applied for individually for various building types. Once the application process is reopened, there will be the opportunity to submit detailed technical plans and cost estimates. This program enables future-oriented energy generation directly at the building and contributes in the long term to lowering electricity costs and reducing the CO₂ footprint in North Rhine-Westphalia.
