Funding of Research Projects at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences GmbH

The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences GmbH receives annual financial support in the form of a non-repayable grant within the framework of the Salzburg Science and Innovation Strategy 2025. The objective of this funding line is the targeted support of research and transfer projects that make a measurable contribution to strengthening the research location Salzburg as well as to the application of scientific knowledge in business and society. Only projects whose thematic orientation corresponds to the principles of the regional Science and Innovation Strategy and that comply with the general funding guidelines of the State of Salzburg are eligible. Applications can be submitted continuously; funds are provided annually upon approval. For timely processing, the submission of a standardized funding application, a precise project description, and a detailed cost and financing plan are required. In addition, information on project partners, timeframe, and planned implementation must be included, and a usage report must be submitted upon completion.

The project evaluation is based on established criteria: quality and relevance of the transfer project, professional suitability and experience of the project team, structure and comprehensibility of the overall transfer concept, resource planning, and risk management. Only the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences GmbH as an educational institution with a research mandate is eligible for funding. Through continuous calls without exclusion deadlines, long-term project-related innovation impulses are set. This not only promotes scientific exchange within the university but also creates sustainable cooperation with business and society.
