Funding of women-specific projects and events in the state of Salzburg

The State of Salzburg supports women-specific basic and project funding through direct grants to strengthen social, legal, and economic equality. Funding is provided, among other things, for feminist empowerment, networking, scientific basic research, and pilot projects that empower women and girls in their individual life planning. A focus is placed on violence prevention and public relations work against gender-based violence, as well as on initiatives that promote equal opportunities and diversity in counseling, social work, and business financing. Furthermore, actions for raising awareness, sensitization, and counseling on gender mainstreaming can be applied for, in order to promote democratic coexistence and social cohesion within the state.

Eligible for funding are interest groups, associations, and private individuals with a regional scope of activity in Salzburg. In addition to professional expertise, a profound understanding of female life and socialization conditions as well as a willingness to cooperate with existing women's organizations are required. Compliance with the Salzburg Equal Treatment Act and the principle of gender mainstreaming is mandatory. Applications are submitted electronically via the e-government form on an ongoing basis before the project starts, as is the final proof of use. Due to the unlimited application period, funding requests can be submitted at any time. The funding program of the Office of the Salzburg State Government thus offers uncomplicated access to financial resources and networking opportunities for all initiators of women-specific activities in the State of Salzburg.
