Support for women-specific associations and non-profit organizations

The Women’s Service Vienna (MA 57) continuously provides grants for women-specific associations and non-profit organizations in Vienna. Projects and events that primarily address girls and women, as well as individuals experiencing social disadvantages due to discriminatory gender roles, are supported. The aim of this measure is to strengthen offerings in the areas of women’s promotion, social affairs, and work & social services in order to increase equal opportunities and dismantle stereotypical role perceptions. Funding is granted based on a substantive connection to women’s and Viennese topics, as well as considering the annual focus of the Women’s Service Vienna.

Eligible are non-profit organizations, associations, and institutions that plan or already implement women-specific activities in Vienna. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there are no fixed deadlines. Approved are initiatives that implement innovative concepts to empower girls and women, such as workshops, counseling services, or cultural projects with a gender-specific focus. A prerequisite for funding is compliance with the funding criteria of the Women’s Service Vienna as well as the earmarking of funds for Viennese projects related to women. The continuous call for proposals provides planning security for long-term initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to equality.
