Description

The funding of (high) student dormitories in Tyrol supports public and non-profit organizations in accommodating Tyrolean students and pupils in residential and boarding facilities outside the federal state. With a grant of up to €50 per person per year, the costs for accommodation and care in (high) student dormitories in other federal states are offset. Applications can be submitted continuously from 01.01.2023, with disbursement occurring annually and based on the organizational lists recorded in the respective state budget.

Funding is provided for those (high) student dormitories located outside Tyrol that demonstrably accommodate Tyrolean students or pupils. Facilities within Tyrol can only be considered if they are listed in the state budget approved by the Tyrolean State Parliament. As a prerequisite for the grant, a complete participant list with names and addresses as well as a current balance sheet or income-expenditure statement must be submitted. The funding measure aims to strengthen the educational and training level of young Tyroleans by reducing financial barriers to accommodation in external boarding schools. The Budget Department of the State of Tyrol is responsible for processing.
