Description
In the federal state of Salzburg, a public grant program supports institutions within the framework of the "Gemeinde 2030" initiative in their strategic reorientation and implementation of concrete projects. The focus is on the fields of spatial planning and urban development, building culture and preservation of local character, as well as infrastructural and mobility-related measures. Furthermore, funding is allocated to the development and maintenance of cultural landscapes, as well as to the recreation and attractiveness of residential environments and open landscapes. The open-ended funding pool has been available since December 13, 2016; applications can be submitted continuously, offering municipalities, cities, and regions the opportunity to jointly design and realize planning and construction renewal processes together with citizens.
Eligible for funding are public institutions, municipalities, cities, and regional associations in Salzburg. A prerequisite for a grant is an existing funding agreement (since January 4, 2016), coordination of the planned measures with Department 10 – Planning, Building, Housing, as well as the submission of a detailed funding application in accordance with the agreement. The application must be accompanied by an activity report from the previous year, the audited financial statement, the current year's work program, and a forecast. Following a positive substantive review by Department 10, the disbursement is made as a grant. This continuous support aims to strengthen the municipalities' self-responsibility and to secure their long-term development through professional guidance and financial assistance.
