Description
The program "Support for Institutions in the Field of Spatial Planning Fundamentals" of the State of Salzburg annually supports the Salzburg Institute for Spatial Planning and Housing (SIR) in carrying out scientific spatial research and fundamental projects. Public institutions can apply for grants within this ongoing funding opportunity to cover both material and personnel expenses for central tasks in spatial planning. The measure aims to generate well-founded insights in the area of local and supra-local spatial planning and to strengthen the basis for statewide planning. Through close coordination with Department 10 – Planning, Building, Housing – it is ensured that the funded activities are continuously aligned with current issues and strategic objectives of the state.
A prerequisite for funding is the existence of the funding agreement valid since August 13, 1999, as well as a detailed funding application including an activity report and financial statement of the previous year and a preview of the work program for the current year. After a positive substantive review by Department 10 and obtaining departmental approval, the payment is made as a grant. The evaluation is based on the quality of the activity report, the proof of use, and the submitted annual program. Thanks to the unlimited application deadline, public institutions can submit an application at any time and thus contribute to the continuous development of spatial planning in Salzburg. Interested institutions in the field of spatial planning fundamentals can obtain comprehensive information directly from the Office of the Salzburg State Government, Department 10 – Planning, Building, Housing.
