Description
The funding supports municipal and regional associations as well as cooperatives in Vorarlberg in investments for the comprehensive renewal and maintenance of the rural road network. The goal is the sustainable improvement of traffic routes in year-round inhabited areas and the enhancement of traffic safety for all users. Financial grants lay the foundation for modern, durable goods and field roads, enabling rural regions to be better connected to economic centers and agricultural enterprises to transport their products more efficiently. This measure thus contributes to strengthening rural infrastructure, promotes mobility, and protects road users through targeted measures such as road widening, surface improvements, and safety enhancements.
Eligible applicants include individual stakeholders, stakeholder communities based on voluntary agreements, as well as associations with legal personality, such as goods road or road cooperatives. Applications can be submitted at any time, as the funding guideline has been valid indefinitely since 01.01.2019. Submission requires a fully completed funding application and a mandatory declaration. The funding approval is issued in writing and may be subject to conditions. The responsible funding administration office handles the processing and monitoring of the proper use of funds. This creates a reliable framework for sustainable investments that contribute to vitality and traffic safety in the rural areas of Vorarlberg.
