Description
The Arnsberg District Government supports municipalities, municipal associations, special-purpose associations under the GkG NRW, as well as municipal enterprises without commercial activity in North Rhine-Westphalia in the development of externally prepared site concepts for publicly accessible charging infrastructure. The aim of this grant funding is comprehensive planning: from demand assessment and identification of suitable sites to analysis of grid connection and integration of renewable energies, as well as accessibility and reachability checks and legal issues. Applications can be submitted until June 30, 2027, as long as budget funds are available. Generally, one concept per applicant per calendar year is eligible for funding. Neutral and independent consultants with proven references in the field of charging infrastructure or comparable projects from the last two years are eligible for funding.
External consulting services as well as expenses for demand assessment, site analyses, and legal consultations are funded at a rate of up to 90% of eligible costs, but no more than €70,000 per concept. Applications must be submitted fully digitally via the application form; a cost estimate or offer as well as the documents required in the form must be provided. After a positive review, the grant award notice will be issued, after which implementation can be commissioned. Finally, payment will be made upon submission of the proof of use. This funding contributes to the systematic and legally secure planning of the expansion of efficient, publicly accessible charging infrastructure and makes an important contribution to strengthening electromobility and climate protection in cities and regions of North Rhine-Westphalia.
