Funding of Art and Cultural Projects (Itzehoe Cultural Foundation)

The Itzehoe Cultural Foundation supports art- and culture-related initiatives throughout the year in Schleswig-Holstein, particularly in the city of Itzehoe and its surroundings. As a sponsorship program, the funding is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as private individuals who wish to realize innovative projects in the fields of visual arts, music, literature, readings, and exhibitions. With the goal of sustainably enriching the cultural life of the region, both conceptual projects and events are supported. The jury places special emphasis on artistic quality, relevance to the local community, and transparent budget planning to ensure a balanced distribution of funds.

Applications can be submitted at any time, provided the project is predominantly located in the Itzehoe region. For the application, a detailed project description, a comprehensive financing plan, proof of non-profit status or an excerpt from the association register, as well as current cost estimates are required. The selection committee evaluates the applications according to established criteria and decides promptly on the approval. Through the ongoing allocation, artists, cultural actors, and local initiatives have the opportunity to respond flexibly to new ideas and continuously expand the cultural offerings on site. The Itzehoe Cultural Foundation thus makes an important contribution to strengthening the regional cultural location and promoting creative potential.
