Description
The grant supports the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in its role as project sponsor in creating and mediating new apprenticeship positions in the Vienna region. The goal is to employ apprenticeship recruiters who provide comprehensive advice to Viennese small and medium-sized enterprises and specifically target ethnic businesses. The focus is on informing about the advantages of dual vocational training as well as existing funding instruments. The measure contributes to identifying additional training positions and reducing barriers to entry into apprenticeship training. Through close support and targeted networking, companies are to be motivated to actively participate in the Viennese apprenticeship market and to train the skilled workers of tomorrow in the long term.
The funding covers a period of 48 months (01.08.2023 to 31.07.2027) and primarily covers personnel costs for apprenticeship recruiters as well as other actual costs specified in the funding agreement. The applicant is the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, which provides the advisory services for small and medium-sized enterprises. A prerequisite for the grant is the timely implementation of the project in accordance with the funding agreement. A detailed project description and a financial plan are required for submission. The application deadline is based on the contractual agreements and ends with the expiration of the term. With this funding, the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff) contributes to strengthening dual vocational training and sustainably securing skilled workers in Vienna.
