Description
The funding for stationary central and decentralized ventilation systems with heat recovery supports private and public builders in North Rhine-Westphalia in energy-efficient modernization and new construction. Eligible applicants include private individuals, condominium owners’ associations, municipal authorities, companies, non-profit organizations, schools, and associations. Funding covers acquisition and installation costs as well as planning, measurement, and verification costs (airtightness, performance data) and services provided by specialized contractors. A prerequisite is compliance with the Building Energy Act excluding the ventilation device (new construction) or a maximum transmission heat loss exceeded by no more than 0.15 W/(m²·K) (existing buildings), airtightness design according to DIN 1946-6:2019-12, as well as CE and U marking of the system. Declarations from specialized contractors and manufacturer certificates must be attached. Applications can be submitted electronically until June 30, 2027, and will be evaluated based on the completeness of documents, compliance with technical minimum requirements, and Building Energy Act specifications.
The funding amounts are €2,000 per unit for central ventilation systems in existing buildings and €1,000 per unit in new construction, and €200 per residential unit for decentralized devices, up to a maximum of €1,000 per unit. Required documents include project and cost descriptions, cost estimates, specialized contractor declarations, manufacturer certificates, and the ventilation system certificate according to § 66 BauO NRW. The measure may only be commissioned after receipt of the funding approval. After installation is completed, proof of use can be submitted via the electronic portal and payment requested. The Arnsberg District Government implements the program within the framework of the NRW Climate Protection Initiative.
