Description

Funding by the Brandenburg State Center for Political Education is aimed at non-profit organizations, associations, educational institutions, as well as recognized continuing education institutions based in Brandenburg that carry out individual projects in political education. The goal is to strengthen the understanding of democracy, convey political, social, and cultural issues, deepen the European idea, and provide education on the causes and manifestations of xenophobia. This offer enables a critical engagement with current and contemporary historical topics and promotes democratic commitment in all parts of the state.

Seminars, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and similar formats are funded with a subsidy of up to €50 per participant per day, as well as a flat rate for organizational costs of €300 per day (maximum €1,000 for multi-day events). A minimum number of eight participants is required, who must have their residence or place of work/training in Brandenburg. Exclusions apply to vocational training or further education, general life assistance, research and teaching, tourist offers, as well as internal meetings and events under the Works Constitution Act or Personnel Representation Act. Applications must be submitted at least eight weeks before the start of the measure, with a minimum funding amount of €500, and an independent review of all funding requirements is conducted.
