Description
The promotion of grid-supportive electricity storage systems for photovoltaic installations supports investments in intelligent, stationary energy storage as well as suitable control technology. It targets natural and legal persons with primary residence or company location in Tyrol – from private households and businesses to non-profit organizations. The aim of the state program is to significantly increase the self-consumption of self-generated solar power, minimize the purchase from the public grid, and thereby promote energy autonomy in line with the Tyrolean Energy Strategy 2050. Both new installations and retrofits of existing photovoltaic systems are considered to consistently expand the share of renewable energies in the region and ensure grid stability.
Funding amount: A flat rate of €100 per kWh of usable storage capacity up to a maximum of 10 kWh (max. €1,000). Deadline: Applications can be submitted from 01.01.2026 until 31.12.2026 at the latest, as long as budget funds are available. Requirements: Primary residence or company location in Tyrol as well as commissioning or installation of the system within the funding period.
