Description
The funding guideline of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg (MLEUV) supports practice-oriented networks, cooperations, and regional value chains in Brandenburg. It is aimed at non-profit organizations, companies, educational institutions, public authorities, and start-ups as well as associations of natural and legal persons from agriculture, environmental and climate protection, research, and consumer protection. Four funding priorities are supported: the establishment and further development of networks for resource-, environmental-, and climate-friendly land use (Part A), conceptual cooperation for market-, location-, and environmentally appropriate land management (MSUL, Part B), the founding of organic model regions to strengthen regional organic value chains (Part C), and the development or expansion of regional, climate- and environmentally friendly value chains up to marketable goods (Part D). Funding is provided in the form of a grant of up to 100% of eligible expenses or, for Part B as co-financing, up to 80% for concepts and up to 100% for those with a special climate and environmental focus. The project duration can be up to 60 months; personnel costs are covered via unit and flat rates, and further material and travel costs are also funded. A project-related cooperation agreement, proof of activity in the land use sector, and a professional statement from the MLEUV are prerequisites for application.
Applications are submitted continuously via the online project funding application (IAP) at the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB) and are possible until December 31, 2027. Concepts and project descriptions are submitted on an ongoing basis; the first selection round will take place on January 26, 2026 (budget €2 million). The evaluation criteria include concept quality, relevance of objectives concerning the CAP regulation, composition of the cooperation, spatial impact, as well as knowledge transfer and public relations. The goal is to sustainably strengthen Brandenburg’s rural areas, disseminate innovations, and establish environmentally friendly agricultural and value-adding processes.
