Funding objective
Due to the ecological importance of the pollination services provided by bees, bee populations are to be increased. To this end, new beekeepers are to be recruited, and the initiation of beekeeping will be supported with a one-time investment grant per new beekeeper.

Description
The investment support for new beekeepers in Brandenburg assists natural persons residing in the state of Brandenburg who wish to establish a beekeeping operation for the first time. The goal is to increase the population of native bee colonies in view of the significant ecological importance of bee pollination. Funding is provided for equipment listed in the investment goods catalog as well as the acquisition of up to three bee colonies. The maximum funding amount per new beekeeper is €1,000 with a funding rate of 40% of the investment volume up to €2,500. Applications can be submitted in the funding year 2026 from January 1 to December 31, with the project duration limited to twelve months.
To apply, a PDF application form must be submitted; required are proof of residence in Brandenburg, completion of a theoretical beginner’s course within the last 12 months, and the commencement of practical training (e.g., mentorship) at the time of application. Furthermore, beekeeping must be registered with the local food monitoring and veterinary office, and it must be declared that no funding under Art. 55 Regulation 1308/2013 has been received in the past six years. Additional necessary documents include the registration confirmation from the veterinary office and a declaration of any received de minimis aid.
