Promotion of Photovoltaic Rooftop Systems on Municipal Buildings Together with a Battery Storage System

The funding program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is aimed at municipalities, districts, and other public institutions that wish to advance electricity generation from renewable energies on their buildings. The focus is on the combination of photovoltaic rooftop systems and battery storage to ensure continuous energy supply and reduce peak loads. Through the funding, investment costs for planning, installation, and integration of the systems can be significantly reduced, supporting municipalities in effectively implementing their climate protection goals and tapping into long-term energy efficiency potentials.

This grant program not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also strengthens supply security at the municipal level.
