The state of Vorarlberg supports health promotion and prevention measures with an annual budget of €850,000 by reimbursing expenses for the organization, documentation, and evaluation of preventive medical programs as well as scientific activities. Funding is provided in particular for the management of the cancer registry, health statistical analyses, and further research work. Applications and billing can be submitted continuously in accordance with the agreement established in the framework contract with aks gesundheit GmbH. The funding is granted as a subsidy to companies in Vorarlberg, with aks gesundheit GmbH acting as the central processing partner.
aks gesundheit GmbH is divided into seven specialist areas: Nutrition, Exercise, Addiction, Psychosocial, Screening Programs, International Networking, and Scientific Activities. Within this structure, it organizes programs, prepares specialist reports, and conducts comprehensive evaluations. Eligible expenses include organizational costs, documentation costs, evaluation expenses, as well as costs for scientific activities. Reimbursement is made based on the submitted invoicing in accordance with the agreement.
