Description

The Youth Work Foundation Schleswig-Holstein supports clubs, interest groups, and non-profit organizations with its program "Promotion of Youth Work Projects," which independently plan and implement measures, events, and projects in open youth work in Schleswig-Holstein. The commitment is particularly directed towards youth associations, youth councils, and youth initiatives engaged in social cohesion, democracy education, and extracurricular educational offerings. Grants of up to €10,000 can be applied for annually; innovative projects in all-day schools also receive special consideration. Applications are accepted informally and without fixed deadlines at any time, facilitating flexible project planning.

A prerequisite for funding is proof of a registered office in Schleswig-Holstein, compliance with the professional requirements according to § 74 para. 1 KJHG, and the pursuit of non-profit objectives. Furthermore, economical use of funds, an appropriate own contribution, and adherence to the funding concept are mandatory. General ongoing costs as well as purely scientific projects are not eligible for funding. The application must include a precise description of the project, a detailed cost and financing plan, as well as the applicant’s address and bank details. The Foundation decides on the grants and expects timely accounting after project completion. Through reporting on funded projects, sustainable impulses in youth work are to be set, and the engagement of young people in Schleswig-Holstein is to be strengthened in the long term.
