The Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie NRW Foundation supports innovative project initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia that are guided by the principles of the Economy for the Common Good and strengthen the three pillars of sustainability (people, environment, economy). In particular, initiatives in the fields of education, research & innovation, as well as training and further education, are supported, which promote sustainable change in the economy and society. As a grant provider, the foundation enables non-profit organizations, educational institutions, companies, public institutions, and start-ups to access funding. Since the foundation has limited resources, project proposals are welcome at any time and are reviewed based on urgency and relevance to the Economy for the Common Good. The goal is to build future-proof structures through funding and to make a concrete contribution to the dissemination of common good-oriented economic models.
Project initiatives with headquarters or project implementation in North Rhine-Westphalia that demonstrate a verifiable connection to the Economy for the Common Good in the areas of education, research, or development are eligible for funding.
