Description

The Self-Determined Living Foundation nationwide supports innovative projects and initiatives that promote equality, participation, and self-determination for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. As a grant provider, it exclusively supports non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and associations whose projects are situated in the areas of social affairs, health, education, vocational training, work & social affairs, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Funding is continuously available, thus offering a flexible financing option for self-help organizations and networks.

The focus of the funding lies on projects related to awareness-raising, qualification, and accessibility, as well as measures addressing climate change and inclusion in the education system, higher education, or the professional environment. Applicants must submit a detailed project description along with a financing plan and provide proof of non-profit status. Particularly relevant are initiatives that strengthen the development of self-help structures or promote exchanges between affected individuals and experts.
