Funding of Projects (We Wipperfürth – Citizens' Foundation Wipperfürth)

The Wipperfürth Community Foundation "Wir Wipperfürther" continuously supports charitable projects in North Rhine-Westphalia that specifically benefit the citizens of Wipperfürth and the surrounding area. Private individuals, associations, interest groups, nonprofit organizations, companies, as well as public institutions may submit project ideas at any time. Funding is provided for initiatives in the fields of arts & culture, social affairs, children and youth, engagement for social cohesion and democracy, urban development & renewal, as well as infrastructure. Applications are submitted informally by providing a project concept that has a direct connection to the Wipperfürth region and pursues charitable objectives. Grants are awarded to enhance the attractiveness of the city and strengthen neighborhood ties.

The focus of the funding is on initiatives that enable intergenerational exchange, enrich cultural offerings, or provide urban development impulses. By supporting art projects, social assistance programs, educational formats for young and old, as well as measures to strengthen civic engagement, the foundation contributes to developing Wipperfürth as a vibrant and sustainable community. Simplified donation receipts and transparent accounting guidelines facilitate implementation. Project selection is carried out according to established funding criteria by the board and the foundation advisory council, who jointly assess the eligibility for funding.
