Description
The funding for quality improvement in commercial accommodation establishments in Vorarlberg supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism and leisure industry sector with investments starting from €25,000 in modernization and expansion projects. The goal is to sustainably enhance the performance and competitiveness of the businesses through measures such as conversions and extensions, modernization of guest and dining areas, investments in infrastructure to improve the quality of stay, as well as expansions of conference and congress facilities. Also eligible for funding are energy-efficient renovations, fire protection measures, disability-friendly adaptations, and child-friendly facilities. Excluded are the acquisition of land, used capital goods, vehicles, and operating resources.
Companies whose business premises are located in Vorarlberg and that are classified as SMEs according to the EU definition can apply for a grant of 10% of the eligible costs – up to a maximum of €25,000 – at any time before the project starts. The guideline has been in effect indefinitely since 01.07.2013 and is continuously implemented. Requirements include a detailed project and company description, a cost breakdown, if applicable a credit institution statement, balance sheet analyses of the last three years, a business profitability calculation, as well as an extract from the commercial register or trade license. The processing is carried out by the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department of General Economic Affairs (VIa), and includes an audit through final accounting. This continuous financing option strengthens the regional tourism structure and promotes forward-looking investments in Vorarlberg.
