Description
The funding supports public institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia in the acquisition, leasing, or long-term rental of pure battery electric and fuel cell vehicles of class N1. Non-profit municipalities, municipal associations, and special-purpose associations according to GkG NRW may submit applications until December 31, 2026, and receive a non-repayable grant amounting to 20% of the eligible expenses, but no more than €8,000 per vehicle. New vehicles (maximum 1,000 km mileage, no standing damage) as well as demonstration vehicles (maximum 5,000 km, permissible for twelve months) are eligible for funding. A prerequisite is non-commercial use of the vehicles, an application prior to the start of the measure, and a location in North Rhine-Westphalia. The project duration is up to 60 months; funding can be applied for both purchase costs as well as leasing down payments, registration costs, and new or demonstration vehicles.
For the application, the online application form, a cost estimate or offer, the PIN code procedure, proof of non-commercial use, and detailed vehicle data (manufacturer, model, battery size) are required. After a positive review, the District Government of Arnsberg issues the grant notification; only then may the measure be commissioned. Upon completion of the measure, the proof of use and payment request are submitted electronically. Supplementary terms and conditions (ANBest-G) regulate, among other things, procurement procedures, proof of use, and retention obligations. The funding makes an important contribution to low-emission mobility in the public sector and strengthens climate protection, environmental and nature conservation, as well as energy efficiency in municipalities and public institutions.
