Description
The municipal funding for pure battery electric and fuel cell vehicles in North Rhine-Westphalia supports public institutions in the purchase, leasing, or long-term rental of low-emission commercial vehicles of classes N2 and N3 as well as self-propelled work machines of class 16. 50% of the additional investment costs are subsidized up to a maximum of €200,000 per vehicle, whereby new vehicles (≤ 1,000 km) and demonstration vehicles (≤ 5,000 km, registered for a maximum of 12 months) are eligible. Eligible applicants are municipalities, municipal associations, special-purpose associations according to GkG NRW, as well as municipal enterprises without economic activity within the meaning of EU state aid law. A prerequisite for funding is the submission of the application before the start of the measure, exclusive non-commercial use of the vehicles, and a retention or contract period of five years (pro rata for shorter terms). Eligible expenses include additional investment costs, leasing and rental down payments, and long-term rental. Applications can be submitted until 31.12.2026 and will be processed by the Arnsberg District Government within a project duration of 18 months.
