- Deployment of qualified personnel in accordance with § 9 of the guideline
- Compliance with group size according to § 10 of the guideline and the regulation on personnel deployment and group size in child education and care facilities
- Secured financing of child care with appropriate contributions from the participating municipality(ies)

Description
The state of Vorarlberg continuously grants subsidies to cover personnel costs in school day care and extracurricular school-age child care. The goal is to create a reliable and affordable care framework outside of teaching and learning hours, thereby relieving families and educational institutions. The funding offer is aimed at public institutions, non-profit organizations, school operators, and care organizations that provide both the recreational component of full-day school forms and extracurricular care services in Vorarlberg. Applications are submitted in writing via an online form and can be requested for the periods from September to December, January to July, as well as for summer holiday care.
The funding requirements include a needs assessment in accordance with § 6 para. 1 KBBG involving the legal guardians, approval as a full-day school form pursuant to § 11 School Operator Act or an operating permit according to § 9 KBBG, the deployment of qualified personnel, and compliance with group sizes according to § 10 of the guideline. Furthermore, financing must be secured through appropriate contributions from the involved municipality(ies), and parental contributions must be socially tiered – upon request, collection may be waived in justified cases. As proof, the income and expenditure statement of the previous year as well as the written funding application must be submitted. Deadlines end on February 29, August 31, and October 15 of the following year, respectively.
