Description

The Public Health Department of the State of Tyrol supports committed self-help groups in Tyrol with a grant, provided they are organized as non-profit, volunteer-run associations or interest groups. The aim of this ongoing funding is to complement the existing medical services with low-threshold exchange and support services for people with specific medical conditions. The program covers the areas of Health as well as Work & Social Affairs and supports the development of peer networks that contribute to strengthening psychosocial support and sustainable networking in the region. Thanks to the unlimited submission deadline, project sponsors can submit their proposals at any time and immediately benefit from the funding.

Particularly funded are all material expenses – from training materials and informational resources to room costs and technical equipment. Prerequisites, in addition to non-profit status and pure volunteerism, include a clearly defined service offering in the health sector and the objective of providing versatile and low-threshold support to the regional population. To apply, only a completed application form must be submitted, which has been continuously accepted since July 18, 2013. After positive approval, the payment is made as a direct grant to the group’s account. Finally, a usage report with original receipts ensures the proper use of funds in accordance with the funding guidelines of the State of Tyrol.
