Funding objective
Funding is provided to the Styrian specialist associations recognized by the state sports organization for the organization and participation in Styrian championships and various other sporting events, participation in national championships and Austrian championships, administrative support, promotion of youth and junior athletes, achieved successes in the general category and among juniors, utilized examinations in the fields of sports medicine, sports science, sports psychology, and sports nutrition, as well as for the training and further education of instructors.

Description
Funding for Sports Associations in Styria is aimed at non-profit, state sports organization-recognized associations operating in the non-professional sports sector. Grants can be applied for on an ongoing basis to organize and participate in Styrian championships and other sporting events, prepare state and national championships, as well as support administrative tasks. Furthermore, funds are available for targeted youth and junior development to reward achievements in both the general and youth categories. Research in the fields of sports medicine, sports science, sports psychology, and sports nutrition, as well as the training and further education of instructors, is also enabled through this funding to sustainably enhance the quality of sports.
Eligible expenditure items include the organization and participation in competitions, personnel and material costs for administration, awards for outstanding achievements, scientific studies, and qualification measures for coaches. Prerequisites for receiving funding are recognition by the Styrian State Sports Organization, non-professional sports activity, compliance with current resolutions of the Styrian State Government, and the availability of sports funding resources. Ineligible expenses include, among others, construction measures, land and building purchases, legal and consulting fees, rent payments, publications, operating costs, and motorsport events. Applications can be submitted at any time; a completed "Sports Funding Application" form, original invoices and payment confirmations, and, if applicable, additional documents upon request are required.
