Promotion of Sporting Activities

This funding measure by the state of Burgenland aims to sustainably strengthen local sporting engagement. It is equally directed at interest groups, clubs, private individuals, public institutions, fire departments, and companies that plan or already carry out sporting activities in Burgenland. Since 01.01.2014, funding applications can be submitted continuously without a deadline. The allocation is provided as a grant and allows flexible budget planning for a wide range of sports projects, whether grassroots sports events, youth training, or exceptional club initiatives. A prerequisite for a positive funding decision is a properly completed application form as well as verifiable Burgenland relevance of the planned activities.

The funding focus is on measures from the fields of sport, culture & media that serve active participation and regional networking. Eligible expenses include, in particular, equipment, event organization, trainer fees, and infrastructural elements. Applicants from municipalities and fire departments benefit equally from this support as do committed individuals or companies with social value in the sporting sector. The application process is straightforward using a standardized form, which is the only required document. By continuously accepting applications, the program promotes a vibrant sports landscape in Burgenland and contributes to the successful implementation of local sports projects.
