Funding of Sternstunden e.V.

Funding by Sternstunden e.V. supports projects nationwide and in Bavaria for the benefit of sick, disabled, and disadvantaged children. Sponsors, including non-profit organizations, public institutions, foundations, interest groups, or other associations, can submit applications for grants at any time. The funding program covers the thematic areas of children and youth, social issues, health, as well as work & social affairs, enabling continuous financing of child aid projects in Bavaria, throughout Germany, and worldwide. The goal of the initiative is the financial strengthening of projects that directly support young people in difficult life situations and sustainably improve their living conditions.

100% of the donations raised flow directly into the funded measures: Thanks to voluntary work, interest income, as well as office space and in-kind contributions provided free of charge, the funds can be allocated without deductions. The allocation takes place following a comprehensive review process by the in-house project committee of Sternstunden e.V., a charity campaign of Bayerischer Rundfunk established in 1993. Project sponsors benefit from transparent application and management of funds, while directly affected children and youth receive concrete assistance. This model ensures efficient funding and helps to ensure that new initiatives for disadvantaged children can also be realized in the future.
