Funding of Studies – Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation

The Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation of the Agricultural Rentenbank supports agricultural science studies and scientific work nationwide that have direct practical benefits. Private individuals with a completed university degree, as well as universities, colleges, and research institutions, can apply annually in the autumn for a current topic. The board decides on the selection of submitted projects, which are to be completed within nine months. Funding of up to EUR 40,000 (gross) is available per study, with an expected scope of approximately 25 pages of written results. The goal is to quickly transfer research findings into agricultural practice and thus contribute to the sector’s innovation capacity and competitiveness.

The calls focus on changing priorities from the fields of Research & Innovation as well as Agriculture & Rural Development. Current issues range from resilience strategies for critical infrastructures in the food sector to climate protection solutions and global competitive conditions. Targeted funding promotes practical solution approaches that can be tested and scaled directly on farms.
