Support for Associations

Support for Associations in Upper Austria is aimed at registered associations, interest groups, committees, platforms, and individuals who are engaged outside the responsibilities of specialized departments. The program supports initiatives in the thematic areas of social cohesion and democracy, regional development, labor & social affairs, as well as agriculture and rural development. As an open-ended grant opportunity, it enables continuous financial contributions to sustainably advance local projects and activities. Thanks to its uncomplicated structure, initiators can contribute creative ideas and implement them effectively without being bound by time constraints or limited calls.

Eligible recipients are legal and natural persons registered in the association register and fully recognizing the general funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. The provision of funds is subject to budget approval in the respective state budget and does not establish a legal entitlement to funding. A prerequisite for an application is an informal request, which can be submitted continuously – valid since 04.11.2013 with no fixed end date. Verification is provided through usage reports in accordance with the funding guidelines, ensuring transparent handling of the funds. This support enables committed actors to sustainably strengthen social processes in rural and urban regions and to expand networks.
