Funding of Additional Individual Pastoral Care Measures

The Pastoral Care Foundation of Upper Franconia continuously supports individual church pastoral care initiatives in East Upper Franconia and the Bayreuth church district. With straightforward grants, pastoral caregivers in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, schools, and open churches are supported. Examples of eligible projects include meditation cards for spiritual retreat in open churches, emergency and grief backpacks for school-based grief support, as well as hymnals for prison chaplaincy. Non-profit organizations and public institutions based in or operating within East Upper Franconia, which act under church sponsorship or collaborate with the Pastoral Care Foundation of Upper Franconia, may submit applications at any time.

The ongoing funding opportunity as a grant extends to the provision of personnel cost subsidies, materials, and organizational equipment. The goal is to secure and adequately equip pastoral care services within the thematic areas of social affairs, health, and work & social services in the long term. Eligible for funding are church sponsors and institutions that employ pastoral caregivers or implement special pastoral care offerings for various target groups.
