Description

The Daniel-Theysohn Foundation supports non-profit public law entities and associations based and active in the former district of Pirmasens (Palatinate region) in implementing environmentally and climate-friendly projects, measures for nature, animal, and monument protection, as well as sports and local heritage preservation initiatives. Through continuous grants in the form of subsidies, the foundation funds investment costs, material expenses, and eligible own contributions (personnel costs up to €15/hour). The shared goal is to improve the quality of life in the Palatinate through sustainable landscape management, monument restoration, sports promotion, and community beautification. The funding areas also include energy efficiency, infrastructure, and cultural projects that serve to strengthen regional identity and environmental compatibility.

Applications must be submitted digitally via the portal and additionally in paper form before the start of the measure and must include a project description, proof of financing, proof of non-profit status, as well as detailed cost and banking documents. The foundation decides annually by December 31 on the funding, which covers a maximum project duration of 24 months. Approved funds are earmarked and paid out after verification of usage reports; own contributions can be accounted for on an hourly basis. False information or loss of non-profit status will result in revocation or repayment of the funding. In this way, the Daniel-Theysohn Foundation sustainably contributes to the preservation and further development of the Palatinate region.
