Funding for Tools & Equipment for Youth Groups (Wandervogel Foundation)

The Wandervogel Foundation supports non-profit youth groups and associations throughout Germany with grants for the acquisition of tools and equipment. Funding is provided for items such as tent materials, climbing and sports equipment, as well as musical instruments, to enable nature experiences, artistic expression, and communal interaction in the spirit of the German youth movement. These funds aim to strengthen challenge and adventure projects that offer young people opportunities for personal development, active nature engagement, and creative design. By providing financial resources, the foundation contributes to enabling groups to realize their projects cost-effectively while promoting sustainable values such as personal responsibility, cooperation, and cultural diversity.

Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit recognized clubs and interest groups that can demonstrably belong to a youth organization and conduct experience-oriented projects. Applications may be submitted continuously; there is no fixed deadline for calls. Eligible expenses include all acquisition costs for tools and equipment, such as tent tarps, climbing harnesses, balls, musical instruments, or technical tools for nature and construction projects. The foundation emphasizes a straightforward process to support initiatives quickly and to provide young people in both rural and urban areas with equal access to nature-related and cultural offerings.
