Description
The state of Vorarlberg supports scientific projects, publications, events, and other works that have a clear connection to the federal state. Both early-career and established researchers receive recognition grants for Sub auspiciis doctoral degrees as well as the opportunity to apply for the state's prestigious scientific awards. The aim of the funding is to expand and deepen scientific knowledge that specifically addresses Vorarlberg-related issues and disseminates new findings. Submissions are accepted continuously and flexibly before the start of the project or prior to the publication of planned works – there is no time limitation.
Both individuals and educational institutions with ties to Vorarlberg are eligible for funding. The funding rate amounts to up to 33% of eligible expenses, including project and event costs, printing costs, travel expenses, and personnel costs. Technical equipment that remains the property of the applicants after the completion of the funding is excluded. A prerequisite for approval, in addition to proof of a personal or content-related connection to the state of Vorarlberg, is the submission of a fully completed application form. The evaluation criteria include the significance for the state, the scientific added value, and the Vorarlberg connection. Interested researchers can find all necessary information at the Department of Science and Continuing Education of the Vorarlberg State Government and may apply for support at any time.
