Funding for Upgrading Renovation South

The program "Funding for Upgrading Renovation South" is aimed at natural and legal applicants – including private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions – who are owners or leasehold rights holders of a property within the scope of the funding area "Growth and Sustainable Renewal," program section Upgrading South. The goal of this continuously available grant funding is the urban renewal of the southern residential area of the Hanseatic City of Stendal. Funded are concepts and measures for the clearance and securing of properties, the dismantling and unsealing of surfaces, as well as the creation and adaptation of development facilities such as green spaces, playgrounds, or technical infrastructure. Additionally, non-residential buildings serving public needs may be modernized and repaired. There is no legal entitlement to funding; approval depends on the state and municipal budgetary funds of Saxony-Anhalt and the City of Stendal.

Eligible expenses include regulatory measures for clearance and surface securing, the restoration of sealed surfaces, the construction or modification of development facilities, as well as modernization and repair measures on buildings serving public needs. The funding rate ranges between 50% and 100% of the recognized eligible costs, depending on the measure. A prerequisite for application is proof of ownership or a leasehold right of at least 66 years, as well as location within the defined program section. Applications can be submitted at any time. The detailed ancillary provisions (ANBest-P) and the directive on urban renewal in Saxony-Anhalt regulate the scope and processing of the grant.
