Description

Since October 2013, the Tyrol State Memory Foundation has continuously supported projects aimed at preserving the architectural cultural heritage in Tyrol. Funding is provided for restoration measures on listed sacred and secular buildings in public ownership, as well as infrastructural improvements in museums of supra-regional significance. Furthermore, the funding includes archaeological excavations that complement and deepen the cultural-historical heritage. The requested grants are financed equally by the State of Tyrol and the Tyrolean municipalities and are directed at institutions, associations, and interest groups dedicated to the preservation of historically significant buildings and museum infrastructure.

Eligible for funding are public institutions, non-profit organizations, interest groups, or other associations based in Tyrol. A prerequisite for submitting an application is proof that the object to be funded is located in Tyrol and is either listed as a monument or classified as worthy of preservation. A detailed cost and financing plan, condition photographs, and a precise description of the planned measures must be submitted with the application. New constructions, real estate acquisitions, scientific projects, cultural events, publications, and sound recordings are not considered. Applications can be submitted at any time and without limitation, allowing for flexible planning and promoting long-term safeguarding concepts for the cultural heritage throughout Tyrol.
