Description
The Free State of Bavaria supports non-profit organizations with grants for the creation of additional women's shelter places as well as for the structural and technical adaptation of existing accommodations to special needs. Eligible for funding are providers of state-funded or newly to be established women's shelters who are members of a leading association of independent welfare organizations. The aim of the measure is to expand the offer of protection and care capacities both quantitatively and to adequately address the specific requirements of women with disabilities, older sons, or many children. This funding makes an important contribution to improving social and health care chains and strengthens the participation of these groups.
The grant is provided as a fixed amount, with a funding rate of up to 90% of eligible expenses and a maximum limit of €50,000 per additional or adapted place. Funding includes, among others, investments in new construction, purchase, rent, and initial furnishing of properties, expansion and conversion work, acquisition and construction ancillary costs, as well as moving costs. A minimum own contribution of 10% must be demonstrated. Applications can be submitted in writing or electronically no later than four months before the start of the measure to the responsible authority. A detailed project description as well as a coordinated statement from all assigned municipalities is required if municipal follow-up costs arise. The maximum project duration is 36 months.
