Description

The Braunschweig Foundation offers sustainable and practice-oriented support for projects in the Braunschweig region. The funding is aimed at non-profit organizations engaged in the fields of art and culture, science, research & innovation, education & training, as well as sports. The foundation supports projects that have a direct regional connection and are implemented within a defined timeframe. In addition to providing financial grants, the foundation also offers individual advice on application formulation and impact orientation to optimally align project outlines and cost and financing plans with the respective requirements.

The foundation’s statutory purposes are at the core of its funding activities, which, besides promoting art, culture, and science, also aim to strengthen civic engagement in the regions. Projects must have clearly defined objectives and formulated measures to achieve these goals. The inclusion of own funds or revenues further underscores the solid economic basis of the initiatives. The foundation places particular emphasis on a sustainable, resource-conserving, and environmentally conscious approach—an approach that addresses current societal challenges. Any form of discrimination and exclusion is strictly rejected.

Ongoing support enables the participating organizations to provide targeted impulses and advance innovative approaches in the areas of education, culture, media, and sports. Through consulting and targeted project development, not only professional expertise and strategic partners are provided, but also new networks are established that lead to further collaborations. With the flexible model of continuous funding, projects can be accompanied and supported in all phases—from concept development to final implementation. The Braunschweig Foundation thus contributes to optimally utilizing regional potentials and sustainably promoting social cohesion in Lower Saxony.
